First Presbyterian Church of Levittown
Bringing the power and love of the living Christ to bear on all of life...so that all might know Jesus is Lord.

Worship...

Whom and how we worship has a profound effect on who, what and how we are in this life.  When we gather with other believers to truly worship the living Lord of all creation, that act changes us.  The more we worship, the more like Him we become.   So whom do you worship and are you finding that choice gives you power, joy, and strength for living?  If that isn't the end result of your worship experience, perhaps its time to take a new look at whom and how you are worshipping.

 Sunday Schedule:

Worship at 10:30am  Join with us for Communion on the 1st Sunday of every month.  You don't need to be member of our Church to participate.

6:30pm Healing Service, 1st Sunday of every month.  This service is held in our chapel.

During the summer months, we have the Rev. Anita Bell leading us in worship and proclaiming the gospel.  Anita is a long time friend of our congregation and a much sought-after preacher.  Come and join us as we learn and grow together!

Our Sacraments:

COMMUNION

You don't have to be a member of this church or even a Presbyterian in order to share with us the celebration of communion. The invitation to share with us, the Celebration of Communion is there for all who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The invitation to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior is open to everyone! Surrender your life to his control and get ready to share His love and forgiveness with everyone you encounter in this life.

BAPTISM

The sacrament of Baptism is available to all of God's children whatever their age!

We offer Baptism to our babies and young children as a sign of God's amazing Grace. It is this Grace of God which reaches out to lay claim to us, forgive all of our sins, and welcome us into the covenant community of faith long before we are able to understand any of this or comprehend the immense magnitude of our need for God's Grace

We also offer Baptism to anyone of any age who has not been baptized so that they might be welcomed into the covenant community of faith.  This is done understanding that we are all accepted into the Kingdom of God, only by the Grace of God, not by our good deeds.

Baptism is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  Baptism is not administered as a sign of our growth in faith and commitment.  Those who were baptized as babies do not need to be baptized again when they finally comprehend their need for forgiveness and that the forgiveness needed can only be obtained through the death of Jesus on the cross. For that step in life we have a Reaffirmation Service or a Confirmation Service.

Healing and Communion Service

Our Evening Healing and Communion Service is held on the first Sunday night of every month.  This special service is a time for you to come and let us pray for you, your loved ones and or friends, or for anyone else in need of prayer.

Jesus hears and answers prayers and all too often "we have not, because we didn't ask".

Infant and Pregnancy Loss Memorial Services

Over the past few years First Presbyterian has held a yearly Pregnancy and Infant lost Memorial Service.  This service is meant to bring comfort to all those parents who have lost children via miscarriage, infant death, or abortion.
